The Land Settlement Agency (LSA) is responsible for the regularisation and upgrading of informal settlements throughout Trinidad and Tobago.
Statutory Mandate
Established under the Land Settlement Agency Act, the Agency works to improve the living conditions of persons occupying state lands by providing infrastructure, security of tenure and access to essential services.
Core Initiatives
The LSA carries out a range of initiatives including land surveys, settlement planning, infrastructure upgrades and the issuance of Certificates of Comfort and leases to qualified occupants.
Community Transformation
Through these efforts, the Agency helps transform informal communities into structured neighbourhoods with improved housing conditions, legal security and greater opportunities for social and economic development.
