The Chaguaramas Development Authority is responsible for the planning, management and sustainable development of the Chaguaramas Peninsula.
Statutory Mandate
Established under the Chaguaramas Development Authority Act, the Authority oversees the use of lands within the Chaguaramas Development Area to ensure that development is balanced, environmentally responsible and aligned with national priorities.
Strategic Role
The CDA manages leases and land use within the peninsula while facilitating investment, recreation, tourism, and marine-related activities. Through its work, the Authority supports the growth of Chaguaramas as a major hub for leisure, tourism, maritime services and eco-based development.
Conservation & Interests
The CDA also plays a key role in preserving the natural beauty and ecological value of the peninsula while ensuring that public access and national interests are protected.
